2005

All the photos from 2005.

Random November 2005

September - October 2005

An update of shots, mostly experimental, that are from shoots too small to justify their own page. I'm quite proud of most of these.

Fireworks 2005

4th November 2005

Experimental firework photography. I had my own fireworks to set off this year, with Leeanne, so I could try something new. Besides, I'm never going to beat my trafalger firework shots am I?

Lake District

1st-10th October 2005

I really don't know what to say about these. I know I could've done better with better weather, so I was disappointed with them and still am. I really really want feedback on these. I'm completely blind to whether they are good or not. Please be completely honest too.

Biggin Hill Air Fair 2005

3rd September 2005

Another massive shooting spree - 1,200 photos in all. This is a page of nearly a hundred, most of them only of interest to plane beards, but there are a few really nice ones too. Best to pick and choose from the thumbnails I'm afraid. Make sure you see 1975 though.

Jonny's Lotus

31st August 2005

Poor Jonny had to sell his lotus to fund his house purchase. He asked me to take some snaps of it before it went. I hope I did ok.

London candids

27th August 2005

This was an attempt at something completely different. With Derek at my side we went to London, where we hoped that having a camera would be ignored. We shot some candids, but not many people think they're as good as my normal work, so I guess the I shouldn't give up my day job.

Tucson July 2005

2nd - 24th July 2005

My third business trip of the year was quiet uninspiring photographically. It was saved by a few wildlife photos that I'm quite pleased with, but overall contains nothing groundbreaking or radical. Be warned, it does contain spiders.

Trafalgar 200 celebrations

28th June 2005

I took 970 photos in all, here are some of the highlights. Due to the lack of time I've had this week preparing for another business trip to Tucson, I haven't spent as long selecting photos or editing them as I would like. So check back in a month or so for an updated version of this, and photos from a boat trip around Portsmouth a couple of days earlier. Oh, I did get very wet, see the grey and grey pic to get a feel for the weather, but at least it made the sky a nice pink shade for much of the pics.

Weekend at Walti's

11th & 12th June 2005

A trip to Paul's in Newmarket to do some serious photography with Ray "Trilby" Barnet and Alan "Yeti" Head. Day 1 was at Anglesey Abbey, where Paul is a volunteer NT gardener, followed by a trip to Ely in the evening. Then Day 2 was spent without Alan, in Cambridge where Tribly showed off his punting skills, and I finally took some candids without feeling uncomfortable.

FIA GT and WTCC championships, silverstone.

15th May 2005

The race I had to see. Aston winning the tourist trophy for the first time in about 50 years, beating the Maseratis and showing that they are ready for Le Mans. Superb weather, superb racing and gorgeous cars. The WTCC was good too if only for the 1-2-3-4 that Alfa got in the first race. You don't see that too often...

Thompson incident in the WTCC

15th May 2005

This is a subset of the WTCC pics above. I saw someone trying a move through the complex, and thought it might end in tears so I kept shooting. This 21 shot sequence shows it well.

The British Countryside

30th Apr - 1st May

My first big photography outing in this country since America. I took lost of woodland and waterfall shots, and anything else I spotted over the weekend.

Mike & Nicole Jones' Wedding.

8th April 2005

Photos from Mike and Nicoles wedding in Tucson, my first attempt at wedding photography, I was the second photographer after Thomas who was shooting film, and a few guests who took advantage of disposibles Thomas handed out at the reception. All of the photos are included as Mike and Nicole will be wanting to show their photos to friends through the medium of the interweb.

The photos are in 7 categories. Click on the thumbs below to view each one, hover to read the category.

Las Vegas/Sedona Holiday.

4th - 14th Apr 2005

A trip to Vegas for a few days either side of Mike and Nicole's wedding in Sedona. Unfortunately I lost my 28-105mm lens, but I managed to replace it in time for the wedding. The first part of the holiday was spent at Circus Circus, the second at New York New York.

Tucson business trip, March 2005

25th Feb - 14th March 2005

I took loads of pics on this 2 week trip, including; AMARC from Kolb road, general Tucson, Roadwork signs, stunt bike practice, airshow practice, tombstone, Sabino Canyon, downtown Tucson, and many, perhaps too many more.

Tucson business trip, Feb 2005.

24th Jan - 12th Feb 2005

A trip to Tucson for 3 weeks, with a weekend dash to the Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater with Dan, Jon, Andrew and Natalie. Not as many photos were taken as I would like as I spend a lot of the time ill with a virus.

Autosport 2005

15th Jan 2005

My second visit to the autosport show, this time with a 12mm lens. Possibly a bit too wide to take photos of cars, but the only way to shoot through the crowd. The Ford stand photos are best.
